At Vanilla Blue, we're reimagining the typical school canteen with our inspiring, nourishing, and freshly prepared seasonal menu. We're making the canteen the heart of the school, a hub of activity serving great food enjoyed by both students and staff daily.

We're seeking a Canteen Assistant to join our team in a private girls' school in Roseville NSW 2069. This role is ideal for a local parent with food preparation experience who wants school holidays off, or someone looking for a better work-life balance.

Thursday and Friday

Shifts: between 7.30am - 2.30pm

Hours: approx. 10-15 hours per week

Pay: $32 per hour + super

Open during school term: 38 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities:

Simple food prep and presentation (sandwiches, toasties, salads, etc)

Lunch sorting and packing

Front-of-house service and POS usage

Support the Canteen Manager with kitchen operations as required

Kitchen cleanliness and hygiene

Work in a fast-paced, process driven, line cooking environment

To be Successful

Previous experience in school canteens or a cafe preferred

Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills
