An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and motivated health leader to join the HNE Gender Service, one of only two specialist hubs in NSW providing care for transgender and gender diverse young people up to 25 years of age.
Based at Maple Leaf House, this innovative multidisciplinary service includes psychology, psychiatry, nursing, allied health and medical staff, all supported by dedicated administration. The Health Manager will provide strong operational leadership, drive service development and change management, and foster a culture of clinical excellence and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will bring sensitivity, compassion, and respect, ensuring that the voices of trans and gender diverse young people and their families are heard, valued, and embedded into service design and delivery
About you
We are seeking a dynamic, values-driven leader with:
Demonstrated experience in leading complex health services and multidisciplinary teams
Proven change management expertise, with the ability to navigate evolving models of care and embed sustainable improvements.
Strong project development, implementation and management skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
Strong decision-making skills, with the capacity to analyse complex situations and implement effective, person-centred solutions.
A genuine passion for working with transgender children, adolescents, and young adults, ensuring their voices and lived experiences shape service delivery.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective partnerships across health, community, and NGO sectors.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing inclusive, evidence-based care, improving health outcomes, and strengthening the future of this vital service.
