Join The Gecko Gang! – Casual Weekend Work (AND MORE!)

Are you energetic, love working with kids, and looking to earn some extra cash on the weekends? Then we want YOU to join The Gecko Gang – one of Canberra’s top entertainment providers since 1991!

We're on the lookout for fun, enthusiastic casual staff to help lead the party! This is the perfect gig for uni students, early childhood workers, or anyone who loves to bring smiles to kids' faces.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Every shift is different, but you could be:

Hosting and running awesome kids’ parties

Doing face painting, glitter tattoos & balloon twisting

Leading fun party games & craft activities

Supervising jumping castles/inflatables

Operating popcorn & fairy floss stalls (yum!)

We’re Looking for People Who Are:

Outgoing and enthusiastic

Great with kids

Reliable and responsible

Positive and friendly

Team players

Available weekends (with some weekday shifts during busy periods)

Able to get a WWVP card

Have a driver’s licence OR reliable transport to and from shifts

Training Info:

If you're successful, training kicks off the following weekend after your application is accepted!
You'll start with on-the-job shadowing, working alongside our experienced Gecko Gang team.
This is followed by:

Three hands-on workshops:
September 25th & 30th (3 hours each, 5:00pm – 8:00pm)

Final team workshop with all Gecko Gang members:
Sunday October 12th (time TBA)

All training is paid, and you'll receive payment at the completion of all workshops in September.

Only successful applicants will be contacted and invited to attend the training sessions.
