Mermaid Waters Vet Surgery is looking for an additional dog groomer!

The Veterinary Clinic is open Monday - Saturday and therefore fairly flexible hours can be negotiated during these days.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1+ years experience as a dog groomer (all breed clips/styles) OR recently completed a grooming course. This is because you will be mostly working independently or with a bather.

What you'll be doing as a groomer at Mermaid Vet:

Admit consultations to find out owners expectations/wants. Applicants must be able to assess dogs and explain to owners what can/can’t be achieved and customize a plan that works for everyone involved.

Provide grooming advice to help owners maintain their dogs' ongoing grooming requirements.

Bathing, blow drying, nail trims, style grooms (nurses will do all anal gland expressions)

Maintain cleaning standards of our grooming room.

Advising owners when their dogs are ready to go home.

What we're looking for

We are looking for a groomer with a passionate, friendly disposition.

The successful applicant must handle animals with care and affection.

Can do attitude!

Someone with their own grooming equipment (Hydrobath will be supplied)

Grooming experience in all styles.

Negotiable wage depending on experience and wants from the position. The position is offered as an ABN/Contractor position. If you haven’t worked like this before please still apply and we can discuss what this means for you.
