Junior Primary Teacher for Prep/Grade1 multi-age class to start Term 4 2025 or sooner. Whilst a full-time availability is preferred, there is the option of a part-time classroom share with an outstanding educator as your team teacher, for the right candidate.

Yarranlea Primary School invites applications for the position of Junior Primary Teacher to join its collaborative and supportive team of teaching professionals in 2025. This position is for a Prep – Year 1 teacher contract for remainder of 2025 with possibility of extension. The teacher will report directly to the Principal.

The Position

As a Primary Teacher you will be expected to:

Prepare all daily lessons and unit plans of work in accordance with syllabus requirements and an understanding of the importance of play and movement in learning

Plan collaboratively within a supportive and collegial teaching team

Provide challenging, student-centred approaches to learning

Communicate and interact openly and effectively to help promote a spirit of unity among the staff

Help foster positive and productive relationships between parents, the community and the School

Evaluate and report on the progress of students

Discuss individual performance with students and their parents

Able to move between electronic platforms with a passion for embedding technology into their pedagogy.

Skills and Experience

The successful candidate will have relevant teaching experience, preferably in a multi-age setting and hold a current teacher registration certificate with the Queensland College of Teachers. Experience in a Prep classroom, with PLD and/or with Toddle (LSM) will be highly regarded.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in a primary education setting.

Applicants must hold permanent residency status in Australia to be eligible for this position.

You will need to be comfortable stepping away from traditional classroom teaching practices and to embrace modern teaching methods and technologies including online resources.
