About the Role

As Assistant Manager, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our spa, ensuring smooth workflows, positive team morale, and exceptional client experiences. You’ll work closely with staff to provide guidance, training, and mentoring, empowering them to deliver excellence in every treatment and service.

Reporting to the Manager of Urban Sanctuary and collaborating together, you’ll combine creativity with structure, managing rosters, bookings, and business systems (Excel, Word, Canva) while also bringing fresh energy to marketing, staff engagement, and client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and inspire the spa team to achieve their best

Oversee daily operations including rosters, client bookings, and stock management.

Travel between two centre locations in Ivanhoe and Abbotsford.

Attend to wellness services, including saunas, float pools and more, including the upkeep, tidying and cleaning.

Foster a warm, inclusive, and professional culture for staff and clients

Support staff development with training, coaching and feedback

Drive customer service excellence, ensuring every client leaves feeling cared for

Use tools such as Excel, Word, and Canva for reporting, scheduling, and marketing material

Collaborate with owners and leadership on business growth initiatives

Uphold workplace standards, compliance, and health & safety practices

About You

You’re an organised and approachable leader who thrives in a wellness environment. With a balance of professionalism and creativity, you know how to connect with staff, motivate teams, and create spaces where both clients and employees feel supported.

You bring to the role:

Previous experience in management, leadership, or coordination (hospitality, wellness, retail, or similar)

Strong organisational and communication skills

Confidence with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Canva

A natural ability to coach, mentor, and uplift staff

Passion for health, wellbeing, and client care

Problem-solving skills and a calm, proactive approach
