Gippsland Southern Health Service (GSHS) is a major provider of healthcare in the South Gippsland Shire. About the Role
Planned activity groups support people’s ability to remain living in the community by providing a range of enjoyable and meaningful activities. These activities support social inclusion, community participation and build capacity in skills of daily living. The key objective of this position is to enhance people’s independence by promoting physical activity, cognitive stimulation, good nutrition, emotional wellbeing and social inclusion. This role requires providing transport to our clients via a 15 seater bus and the delivery of group based activities.
About You
The successful applicant will be experienced in delivery of safe transport of clients via a 15 seater bus. In addition you will have experience and/or willingness to facilitate the delivery of innovative social and activity programs within the aged and disability sector and will be committed to promoting health and wellbeing goals through consumer-directed practice.
The successful applicant should possess the following:
Current medium rigid driver's license and ability to drive a 15 seater minibus.
A sound understanding and awareness of the Active Service Model and how this relates to service delivery.
Demonstrated ability to engage and work with diverse clients with a range of health and aging related needs.
Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, Leisure & Lifestyle, aged care or equivalent (desirable).
Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs. Salary Packaging is available for all staff. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current satisfactory police check, Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
