Are you ready to take ownership of cloud infrastructure that supports mission-critical operations across the globe? We’re looking for a Cloud Engineer to design, build, and optimise secure, scalable, and highly available cloud systems. This is a permanent role based in Brisbane with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of cloud architecture, automation, and observability. You’ll ensure platforms run smoothly and securely, enabling faster innovation and higher reliability. You’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, QA, and technical specialists, embedding cloud-first thinking across the development lifecycle and setting the foundations for long-term scalability.

What You’ll Do

• Implement and maintain secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability scans, and apply threat mitigation strategies.
• Troubleshoot and optimise network performance using diagnostic tools and protocol analysis.
• Design and manage high-availability solutions, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
• Monitor application and infrastructure health using observability tools (e.g. Datadog).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates using AWS CloudFormation templates.
• Build, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience automating infrastructure deployment with AWS CloudFormation.
• Understanding of secure coding, vulnerability scanning, and threat mitigation.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and diagnostic tools.
• Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar.
