About Client

We are seeking experienced skilled qualified steel fixer with experience in form work in precast yard.

Qualified applicants will be given the opportunity to work alongside other trades in building. Precast yard working off site within a warehouse in Melbourne's Western suburbs. Successful applicants can be given the opportunity for immediate starts with excellent hourly rates. BDK is looking for suitable candidates that are reliable, hardworking, flexible, and looking for long term work on going!

Applicants will be invited to on-site interview for in-depth information about the positions and to assess the candidates' experience and skills.

Candidates who meet the required criteria will be scheduled for an induction and a paid trial day in the factory.

To excel in this production role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

Proven experience and expertise as a Steel Fixer

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead by example.

Demonstrated capability to work unsupervised and produce work to a high standard.

Strong safety awareness and commitment to adhering to safety protocols.

Physical fitness and health to perform the job.

A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle for transportation to client site.

Key Responsibilities:

Interpret and follow engineering drawing and specification for reinforcement placement.

Install steel reinforcement, including rebar, mesh and other materials, within precast panels.

Cut, bend and tie steel bars to form reinforced cages or frames.

Assist in the preparation of molds and formwork for precast concrete.

Ensure that all work compiles with safety standards, quality control procedures, and project timelines.
