Nurse Next Door Penrith is on the lookout for a dynamic & energetic Aged Care & Disability Nurse Care Ambassador to inspire and mentor our passionate care team in a Permanent Part-time or Casual role. (multiple positions are open)
Operating in a home care environment, you will be responsible for mentoring and coaching our caregivers, delivering thoughtful nursing care to our aged care and disability clients.
This role is located in our Penrith office, but will involve some home visits and even occasional work-from-home admin responsibilities.

Position Summary:
As a Care Ambassador, you are responsible for initiating Happier Ageing experiences for Clients and Caregivers, as well as supporting the daily operations of the business. In every Client care situation, you seek innovative solutions. You can support delegated care management from the first visit to the end of service.
You will provide specialist clinical care support, focusing on improving outcomes through illness prevention, early detection, and management of preventable chronic conditions within the context of Nurse Next Door.
You will oversee client health checks, implement client care plans, lead and coordinate client specialist consultations, and provide supportive education to staff.

To be successful in the role of Care Ambassador, you will be able to demonstrate:
Have highly developed clinical knowledge and skills in a relevant area of nursing relating to this position, supporting well-developed clinical decision-making and problem-solving to achieve best practice healthcare outcomes.
Demonstrate and promote a learning environment through clinical support, instruction, and feedback, including mentoring all levels of less experienced nursing and caregivers across the team.
Demonstrated ability to meet key accountabilities

Qualifications and Experience:
Registered Nurse (Division 1), General nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Postgraduate qualification in a specific nursing field, twelve months’ experience working in a clinical area of the particular postgraduate qualification OR
Minimum 4 years’ post-basic registration experience, including 3 years’ experience within the relevant area of specialty
