Our client, a busy and growing printing company in Heidelberg West, is seeking an experienced Flexographic Print Press Operator to join their day shift team in an industrious and fast-paced environment.

About the Role:
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality work. The ideal candidate will have flexographic printing experience, be physically fit, reliable, and ready to work hard in a hands-on role.

Technical & Operational Skills:

Set up presses for production runs, including plate mounting, ink mixing, and material loading

Monitor press during runs to ensure colour consistency, registration, and quality

Perform changeovers efficiently to minimise downtime

Knowledge of different substrates and their handling requirements

Use of measurement tools (densitometers, micrometers, colour matching systems)

Quality & Compliance:

Follow safety and OHS procedures at all times

Adhere to company quality control standards

Complete production records and log sheets accurately

Ensure jobs are completed to client specifications and deadlines

Maintenance & Troubleshooting

Perform basic mechanical adjustments and preventative maintenance

Identify and resolve printing defects such as streaking, ghosting, or misregistration

Report major breakdowns or defects to maintenance team promptly

Work Environment & Expectations

Ability to work in a noisy, fast-paced manufacturing environment

Standing for long periods and lifting up to 20–25kg as needed

Strong teamwork skills and communication with supervisors and co-workers

Flexibility to work overtime if production schedules require

Experience & Skills:

Experience with flexographic printing (highly regarded)

Familiarity with Bobst and F&K print presses (advantageous)

Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks

Reliable with a strong work ethic

Able to thrive in an industrious, team-focused environment
