About the role

Assessment Planner

The Assessment Planner's role is to efficiently and effectively process development and associated applications submitted to Council under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Local Government Act, and related legislation in accordance with Council's policies and procedures.

Graduate Planner

This position is intended for students and recent graduates who are either currently undertaking or recently completed their studies in town planning.

Remuneration

Assessment Planner - $99,115.12 - $115,952.20 + 12% Superannuation + Access to Car Allowance Scheme

Graduate Planner - $86,282.04 - $97,610.76 + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

Assessment Planner

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the application of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Local Government Act in relation to regulatory processes and the assessment of development.
  3. High level communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  5. Commitment to quality customer service.

Graduate Planner

  1. Substantial commencement or recent completion of tertiary qualifications in a town planning related field.
  2. High standard of verbal communication and writing skills.
  3. Skills in research and analysis of town planning related issues.
  4. Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  5. Commitment to quality customer service.
