Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the role is responsible for:
Managing the Accounts Payable inbox;
Process weekly payment;
Credit card and general expense management;
Update and manage the Fixed Asset Register and create journals for monthly depreciation;
Prepare quarterly BAS supporting documents for submission;
Update and prepare information and supporting documents for FBT file;
New customer setup checklist and creating new customer accounts;
Create settlement invoice;
Monthly settlement reconciliation;
Finance documents monthly filling;
Assist with the completion and processing of month end reporting;
Assist with month end processing and posting inter-company journals;
Support the preparation of financial statements;
Liaise with Company Accountants as required;
Other ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
Local qualifications in Finance, Economics or related, ideally working towards CA or CPA will be looked upon highly.
Ideally 1-2 years of Finance and Accounting experience.
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Permanent resident visa holder or Australian citizen.
Excellent communications skills (verbal & written) with the desire to actively collaborate with multiple departments.
Familiarity with current AU/NZ Accounting principles.
Excellent IT skills including MS Office suite.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Enthusiastic, driven, and open to changing priorities.
Can work independently as well as in a team.
Prior experience in a Junior or Assistant Accountant role.
Strong attention to detail.
Previous experience using ERP systems would be advantageous but not essential.
Please note:
This role can be located in either Sydney CBD or Melbourne CBD.

This is a fixed-term role till end of 2026, with potential to convert to a permanent role, subject to business needs.
