We're seeking for a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join a collaborative finance team on a fixed-term contract until 30 June 2026. This role offers the chance to make an immediate impact, with a thorough handover and ongoing support to set you up for success.

  • 9.5 month contract to 30 June 2026, with potential to extend
  • Hybrid 4 days, 1 day in the office
  • $100 -$110k + super

With multiple entities under management and a collaborative culture, they provide a professional yet supportive environment where finance plays a key role in ensuring operational success. The business is currently investing in process improvements and automation, offering the chance to be part of meaningful change while still contributing to core accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support month-end close including journals, reconciliations, reporting, and meeting tight deadlines
  • Assist with year-end financial reporting and liaise with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process
  • Prepare and review quarterly BAS, annual FBT returns, and statutory tax obligations
  • Support intercompany recharges and levy billing processes with strong attention to detail
  • Prepare and analyse monthly financial reports across P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow for multiple entities
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations across corporate and operating entities
  • Provide back-up support for payroll reconciliation, journals, PAYG submissions, and payroll processing when required
  • Manage credit card journals and reconciliations as needed
  • Partner with the FP&A team on journal queries and provide accurate, timely financial data
About You
  • CPA or CA qualified
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Experience in a hands-on accounting role
  • TechOne knowledge highly regarded, but not essential
