Are you an experienced family lawyer looking for your next step in a genuinely supportive and established firm?
A well-established Melbourne-based commercial law firm is seeking a senior family lawyer from SA level, to join its respected Family Law team. This is a rare opportunity for a Senior Associate, Special Counsel, or junior Partner to step into a leadership role with genuine support, autonomy, and a consistent pipeline of quality work - no portable practice required.

You'll be working alongside a collaborative, experienced team with a reputation for delivering clear, compassionate, and strategic advice to clients navigating separation, parenting, and property matters.

The Role

As a senior member of the team, you will:

• Advise on complex parenting and financial matters, including parenting arrangements, child support, and spousal maintenance
• Resolve matters through mediation, negotiation, collaborative law, and litigation when required
• Assist in family violence and intervention order matters
• Guide and mentor junior lawyers and help drive the continued growth of the practice

You will have

• At least 7 years' post-admission experience in family law
• Strong technical expertise across parenting, property, financial agreements, and litigation
• A calm, confident, and empathetic approach to client service
• Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and managing complex asset structures
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
• Interest in mentoring, leadership, and practice development
• A portable client base or referrer network is welcomed but not required
