The Grooming Barn is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team in Montrose.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animals, excellent grooming techniques, and an eye for detail. In this role, you will provide a wide range of grooming services for our canine clients, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling coats according to breed standards or owner preferences.

You will also ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized grooming environment while delivering exceptional customer service to pet owners.

Key Responsibilities

• Bathe, brush, trim, and style dogs of various breeds and sizes.

• Deliver show-standard grooming styles for breed dogs.

• Clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of pets throughout the grooming process.

• Observe and report any health concerns to owners or management.

• Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and resolving complaints.

• Manage phone reservations and use appointment scheduling software.

• Maintain accurate records of grooming services.

• Keep the grooming area clean, sanitized, and organized at all times.

• Stay updated on grooming techniques and trends through continued education and training.

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience as an independent pet groomer.

Holds an animal first aid certification.

Holds minimum B-level pet groomer certification or other equivalent internationally recognised certification.

Excellent grooming skills, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling. Able to independently complete dog show grooming style for breeds dog.

Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality grooming results.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to handle customer complaints, manage phone reservations and use appointment management software.
