About the role

Winchelsea Veterinary Hospital is seeking a passionate and skilled Groomer to join our team in our clinic located in Winchelsea, VIC. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your other commitments.

What you'll be doing

Providing high-quality grooming services to our canine and patients, including bathing, brushing, nail trimming, and other grooming tasks

Handling animals in a calm and gentle manner to ensure their comfort and safety

Maintaining a clean and organised grooming area, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitised

Communicating effectively with clients to understand their pet's grooming needs and preferences

Advising clients on proper home grooming techniques and products

Keeping accurate records of each pet's grooming services

What we're looking for

Previous experience in pet grooming, with a thorough understanding of various breeds and their grooming requirements is a MUST

Excellent handling skills and the ability to work safely and calmly with animals

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow grooming procedures and protocols

Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients

Flexibility to accommodate a variety of shift patterns, including evenings and weekends

A genuine passion for animal welfare and the wellbeing of our patients
