CK Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Factory Labourer to join our clients team on a long term basis.

Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months factory or manufacturing experience.

Our client is a privately owned Australian Steel Processing and Storage company proudly serving the industry since 1960.

They are located in the south-western suburbs of Sydney and specialise in Cutting, Forming and pressing of sectional and plate steel.

About You

We are looking for a switched on labourer who has an interest in gaining new skills that will offer lifelong employment options. Bonus points for experience using a CNC, Brake Press or Roll Form Machine.

Duties Include but are not limited to:

1. To Mark out measurements from drawings.

2. To operate machinery for simple repetitious work.

3. To handle materials.

The role requires moderate physical fitness with the ability to lift materials weighing 15-25kg.

4. To operate cranes.

5. To load materials onto trucks.

6. To ensure workplace is always tidy and free from hazards and obstacles.

7. To grind, file and ensure materials are kept clean.

8. To conduct all duties in accordance with procedures as specified by the quality system to ensure quality maintained.

9. Where required, to work as an offsider under the supervision of a Leading Operator, and follow his/her instructions.

Section Rolls

Plate rolls

Pressing machine

Oxy cutting

Welding/types

Calculations

Overhead Cranes

This is a Permanent Position!

Working Monday to Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm.

We are looking for someone with:

Overhead crane experience (preferred)

Previously worked within the steel Environment (preferred)

Have Car licence & Car

Stable work history and references to confirm

Forklift Licensee (preferred but not essential)

Willingness to participate in training courses.

This role does require the successful candidate to undergo an in-depth pre-employment medical prior to commencement.
