The Role:

The Home Care Package Specialist is typically the first person-to-person contact for new and prospective clients, and must be prepared to invest in building relationships and supporting these clients through to conversion.

It is expected that the Home Care Specialist will manage a large number of enquiries at any given time, and at various stages of the My Aged Care process. Therefore, the ability to manage competing priorities, manage time and effectively prioritize and follow up on tasks is critical.

Day to day tasks for the Home Care Package Specialist include:

• Develop opportunities to develop new client leads and referrals

• Manage inbound leads and enquiries from clients seeking home-based services

• Establish a strong understanding of and be able to clearly articulate the My Aged Care process from registration and assessment through to package allocation and selecting a provider

• Build positive relationships with prospective clients, regardless of where they are in the Home Care Packages process, positioning Aunty Grace as the trusted advisor for clients seeking home care and services

• Maintain ongoing contact with long-term clients leads and offer information to support their decision making process

• Develop a clear understanding of Aunty Grace’s customer value proposition/unique selling proposition and be able to communicate this effectively

• Promote Aunty Grace as the Home Care services provider of choice for prospective clients

• Convert prospective/enquiring client into paying clients (i.e. Home Care Package allocation to Aunty Grace)

• Transition new/converted clients to the Operations team so that new client expectations are met and exceeded

Expected

• Experience in a B2C or retail sales role with a focus on supporting and informing customers

• A person-centered approach to sales and client education

• Ability to manage client relationships and expectations

• A professional, courteous and friendly communication style 2

• A collaborative, problem-solving approach to working with clients, representatives, team members, suppliers and other stakeholders

• A flexible and adaptable approach that embraces continuous improvement and change, and contributes to Aunty Grace’s growth

• A National Criminal History Check / Police Check showing no disclosable Court Outcomes or Convictions, and no greater than 3 years since the date of issue

Desirable

• Experience working within or demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards framework

• Understanding of Home Care Packages legislation and guidelines

• 4+ years in a solution-based sales environment
