Contract Administrator - Tier 1 (Level Up Opportunity)
Construction Talent Authority

Mission
For almost 30 years, this business has dominated the South Australian construction industry by repeatedly being a builder clients can trust.
The company leader has passed down these values, principles, and strategies to the current managers of this award-winning business for decades, ensuring that the pioneering spirit is now in the hands of the business's top people.
Having almost 100 employees across our great state isn’t easy unless you have a culture that puts its people first above all else.
This is the secret to what has made them a household name in SA.
Culture
This brings me again to what they value most: their people.
Some construction companies cut corners and view their employees as mere labor. This business is the polar opposite. They’ve spent millions of dollars fitting out one of the best headquarters I’ve ever visited.
Having a place where their staff can look forward to coming to work every day is the difference between a harmonious culture and a worker-bee mindset.
Whether it’s a flexible working environment, working from home understanding, a well-resourced team and mentor, or the open-door career development and learning policy.
This business grows every facet of a construction professional's career pathway to ensure you become the best you can be. This begins and ends with the company's A-level leadership, which is the example everyone wants to emulate as they become the company's future leaders.
Leadership
This company has had the same construction manager, HSE manager, and commercial manager leading from the front for almost a decade, which shows that it’s a place worth staying in and a company worth working for.
They live and breathe the company's vision, knowing what they do matters and that people are always watching.
Project
You’d be involved in the end-to-end delivery of the entire project.
This Tier 1 $100M+ project is 30 minutes from the city. It will run for approximately two years and features an all-star team, waiting for you to join.
The best of the best are on this T1 flagship project, so if one of your needs or wants, considering this position, is to have a mentor to level you up in your career, this dream team will do just that for you, helping you learn, grow, and evolve.
Although the particular personality of the person they are looking for isn’t critical in the decision-making criteria, someone who is very comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders without any issues would be the ideal candidate.
What comes with autonomy, freedom, and an excellent salary is accountability, responsibility, and specific expectations. This means they’d expect your scheduling, programming, and improvement strategies to be high enough to be comparable to those of an experienced Site Administrator.
This would demonstrate your strong negotiation skills, efficient time management, and ability to juggle various deadlines without the pressure of the job overwhelming you.
Personal
As I mentioned above, telling you how to do your job isn’t what I’m here for, but I can explain some of the critical core competencies and crucial DNA that would be advantageous if you had these traits in your repertoire.
Start with a sense of self-actualisation, which means having a deep drive to face challenges and find fulfillment in your work. This is the most essential and shared critical DNA trait for all top performers.
Someone who has some grit to them. This means you possess courage, resolve, and a strong character, which enables you to excel in negotiation and maintain a never-back-down attitude.
Someone conscientious. You are never late; you meet expectations and are thoughtful of others. Not because you are obligated externally to do it, but because you are motivated internally to do it for yourself due to the high standards you have for yourself.
Someone who is a team player. This means you understand your role, welcome collaboration, hold yourself accountable, have a positive attitude, and commit to your team until the project is completed.
Someone who is intellectually curious. This means you constantly ask questions, challenge the status quo, and intrinsically push yourself to grow.
We are off to a great start if most of those competencies and traits resonate with you.
Experience
This is an opportunity for a young contract administrator, site administrator, or project coordinator who is ready to take the next step. If you're currently in Tier 1, please understand.
This is for you as well. Plus, you get the family feel of a culture where everyone knows your name, not just your job title/number.
Three to four years as a CA, SA, or PC in any tier is fine, but we would need to complete two or three projects from inception to completion in Australia, preferably South Australia.
A degree in construction management, preferably, starting in a graduate position with some structure to your early career days. Hence, you are familiar with the protocols, systems, and procedures of commercial construction, allowing you to quickly advance into a larger tier or two and scale your expertise accordingly.
Benefits and Salary
Whether it’s a flexible working environment, a well-resourced team and mentor, or the open-door career development and learning policy, you can rest assured that whatever gaps in your career you need to be filled, they've got it covered.
Your responsibilities and scope of work will be more significant for this business, and so will your generous salary; therefore, don't worry about that. They want to pay the right candidate $100K —$130K + Super.
