About the Role

They are seeking an experienced Transformer Technician (Electrical) to join their Field Services team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Installing, refurbishing, repairing, and upgrading transformers, including associated electrical work
• Supervising offloading, assembly, fluid processing, and electrical testing of transformer equipment
• Performing electrical fault finding, testing, and commissioning
• Preparing and completing all compliance and site documentation
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards

Skills & Experience

• Trade qualification in Electrical (A-Grade License preferred) or Mechanical background
• 5+ years’ experience working with high-voltage substation or transformer equipment
• Strong knowledge of HV installation, testing, and maintenance practices
• Ability to interpret electrical wiring, control diagrams, and technical drawings
• Proven ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in high-risk environments
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and customer service

Highly Regarded

• Certificate IV in Electrical Instrumentation
• Experience holding Network Authority to receive electrical access permits
• Mechanical assembly experience with large HV assets
