🔧 About the Role

As a Field Service Mechanic with WMS Mechanical, you’ll be working across various FMG mine sites in the Pilbara, servicing and repairing a wide range of mobile equipment, primarily:

Heavy road transport trucks (multiple makes and models mainly Japanese and European)

Diesel-powered high-pressure water pumps

Occasional work on light vehicles, earthmoving equipment, and auxiliary machinery

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Perform breakdown repairs, diagnostics, and fault-finding in field conditions

Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and engine issues

Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with supervisors and clients

Work safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with FMG site requirements and procedures

Maintain and care for WMS service vehicles, tools, and equipment

✅ What We’re Looking For

Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent trade qualification)

Strong experience with heavy trucks, diesel engines, and/or high-pressure water pumps

Previous exposure to mining, field service, or remote work preferred

Ability to work independently with a high level of mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills

FMG inducted (preferred but not essential – I can assist with inductions)

HR Licence regarded

Strong safety-first attitude and the ability to work to site-specific procedures

What WMS will provide

Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off – giving you plenty of time to enjoy life outside of work

85$ph, 8 days on 6 days off with OPTIONAL overtime, 11% super on all hours worked, tools and a fully equipped feild service work ute supplied, flights provided (Perth too and from site) and accommodation provided.
