Locum Occupational Therapist – Community Team

We are seeking a passionate Locum Occupational Therapist to join our community team in Melbourne. This role offers flexibility, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability and older Australians.

About the Role

Contract: ASAP start, initial 12 weeks with potential to extend

Hours: Up to 38 hours per week (Mon–Fri), part-time options available

Pay: $50–65 per hour + Super

Location: Melbourne

Work model: Hybrid – mix of clinic, home visits, and community settings

Transport: Pool cars provided, or mileage reimbursement and paid parking if using your own vehicle

Pathway: Option to transition into permanent employment

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality assessments, interventions, and strategies to support clients in achieving their goals.

Deliver services to NDIS participants, disability clients under other funding, and older people on Home Care Packages.

Work independently to manage a diverse clinical caseload across adult and aged care, with some opportunities to support children and young people.

Provide therapy across a variety of settings – homes, clinics, schools, day programs, and community environments.

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care.

Communicate effectively with families, carers, and other health professionals to achieve the best outcomes.

Respond promptly to referrals and maintain accurate, professional documentation.

About You

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration.

Experience in disability, aged care, or community settings is highly regarded.

Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Valid driver’s licence.
