This is a permanent full-time position; fixed term work arrangements may be considered.

About the Acute Care & Response Team (ACRT):

The ACRT is a new service model, arising from the ICA Taskforce recommendations. The team provides a step up in intensity of service to children and adolescents experiencing a crisis or deterioration in their mental health. This includes crisis response, assessment, safety planning, short-term intervention, planning for ongoing care, and supplementary care for children with severe and enduring mental ill health. Care will be provided close to home in a community setting, reducing the need for hospital presentations. The North, South, and East ACRTs provide a service to children and adolescents who live in each respective region of the Perth metropolitan Area.

As mental health conditions can deeply impact the emotional and social well-being of children and their families, our holistic and child-centred approach is designed to assist families and is focused on participation and engagement.

As the Service Manager of the ACRTs, you’ll have a pivotal role in implementing the strategic development, integration, and monitoring of this new service across the Perth Metro area.

About the Role:

As the Service Manager you’ll have a pivotal role that holds responsibility for the clinical and corporate governance of the service, including the effective management of financial, physical, and human resources. As the direct line manager for a multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in service delivery and workforce leadership. You will also represent CAMHS in high-level discussions with senior stakeholders across the health sector and contribute to the planning and implementation of a comprehensive, integrated child and adolescent mental health service.

Regular travel between the North, South, and East ACRTs is required for this role. A current drivers’ license is desired.

What you will bring:

  • Extensive leadership experience of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated competency in the delivery of a mental health service
  • Adaptive and collaborative working style to lead the development of a new service, utilising change management principles
  • Highly effective communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification in a health-related discipline is desired.
