About the role

As a Disability Support Worker with BDMS Community Services, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the lives of individuals living with disabilities in the Katherine, Tennant Creek, Darwin, and NSW areas. This part-time position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while enjoying a flexible work arrangement.

What you'll be doing

Providing personalised support and assistance to clients with a range of disabilities, helping them to achieve their personal goals and live independently

Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client wellbeing and community engagement

Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records

Collaborating with the broader care team to ensure seamless service delivery

What we're looking for

A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities and a commitment to making a positive impact

Relevant experience in the aged care, disability, or community services sectors

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

A current First Aid certificate and driver's licence

Demonstrated understanding of the NDIS and relevant legislation
