Our client is an established manufacturing company with extensive experience in producing high-quality products across various industries. The state-of-the-art CNC machining workshop specialises in prototyping, allowing the company to quickly and efficiently turn design concepts into precision-engineered prototypes.

Job Overview:
The CNC Workshop role will be responsible for the operation of the CNC machines and the prototyping process. This role requires strong technical expertise, and the ability to ensure the production of high-quality prototypes and components. You will work with a team of CNC machinists and technicians, ensure adherence to safety protocols, and maintain efficient workflow throughout the workshop.

Working Conditions:

Full-time / Casual position with regular hours. 6 months +

Occasional overtime may be required to meet project deadlines.

The role may involve working in a workshop environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Day-to-day operation of the CNC workshop, ensuring all machines and equipment are running efficiently.

Work closely with engineers, designers, and the product development team to ensure prototypes meet design specifications and functionality.

Foster a collaborative and productive work environment that prioritises teamwork, safety, and efficiency.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any issues or breakdowns promptly to avoid production delays.

Ensure all safety protocols and standards are followed by the team, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Continuously evaluate and improve CNC machining and prototyping processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.


Required Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in CNC machining, prototyping, or a similar technical field.

In-depth knowledge of CNC machinery, software (e.g., CAD/CAM), and prototyping techniques.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in a workshop environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant trade qualifications or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
