Scope of Works
Commissioning of electrical systems and infrastructure
Experience with Incurve testing and VOC testing, or the ability to learn
Must be computer literate for accurate data entry
Length of placement estimated at 4–6 months
Skills & Experience
WA Electrical Licence – Required (government-regulated)
NPI maintenance – performing preventative and reactive maintenance
Experience with dewatering systems, pumps & controls – Preferred
Ability to fault-find and repair electrical issues on diesel/electric pump systems
Strong understanding of remote power setups, generators, and switchboards
Confident working independently on remote sites
Maintenance Electrician
Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on non-process infrastructure including accommodation units, kitchens, and recreational facilities
Inspect, test, and repair electrical systems such as switchboards, lighting, power outlets, and RCDs to ensure compliance and safety
Maintain and troubleshoot generators, pump stations, and remote water/wastewater systems
Complete Test & Tag, emergency lighting inspections, and HVAC electrical support
Follow site safety procedures including LOTO, permits, and JHAs while coordinating with other trades and camp management
Electrician’s Role
Install and connect electrical components for dewatering pump systems
Fault-find and repair electrical issues on submersible, diesel, and electric pumps
Set up and maintain generators, switchboards, and control panels
Conduct electrical inspections, testing, and scheduled maintenance
Ensure all electrical systems comply with site and Australian standards
Diagnosing and repairing faults
