We require Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics to join our Kalgoorlie based team for an immediate start.

Flex Industries provides mechanical service and repairs to a wide variety of customers on all types of equipment. We are the service agents for Truck Centre WA servicing Volvo, Mack & UD. Flex is also the service dealer for the Scania product within the Goldfields Region. A Branch is also located in Perth.

Essential Criteria

Valid Trade Certificate (essential)

Must hold a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic trade certificate

Experience with Road Transport/Truck & Trailer Repairs, fault diagnosis and servicing

Minimum 1-2 years of road transport/truck repair experience required

Self motivation with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Be able to work within a team environment

Valid C class drivers licence (HR and DG desirable)

Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test

High awareness of Safety in the workplace

Effective communication skills, reliable & organised

Must have valid Australian work rights including valid work visa

General Duties:

Diagnose, overhaul, repair, tune, maintain and test diesel equipment including trucks and trailers, buses and other equipment.

Complete tasks within set time frames

Communicate any safety or maintenance issues to the supervisor

Compliance with all safety & current regulations /standards

Other duties as requested by your Supervisor

Desirable

Solid electrical diagnostic capabilities, and hydraulic knowledge

Workshop based environment including some field service work.

Full Time Employment (40 to 55 hrs/week, alternate Sat/ On Call Roster)
