Australian Cruise Group is a premier cruise operator on Sydney Harbour. The company is well-known for the popular cruise experiences of Sydney Showboats, Magistic Cruises and Clearview Cruises, Sydney's newest cruising experience. We are based at King Street Wharf in the heart of the city.
We are currently recruiting for our fleet of 3 large commercial charter vessel General Purpose Hands / Deckhands.
In this role you will work as a member of our onboard product delivery team. You will work alongside other marine crew members such as Masters, Engineers and fellow General Purpose Hands. Other onboard departments include our Restaurant Team, Galley and Entertainment Teams.
The ideal candidate for this role will be well presented and groomed with a can-do attitude.
You should be available to work a rotating roster, including dinner cruises and weekend shifts.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Marine Operations Manager.
Responsibilities:
Assisting the Master in the safe delivery of all cruise products
Ensuring the vessel is detailed to the designated standard prior to every departure
Whilst underway work within our Restaurant Team to assist with product delivery
Whilst underway assist the Master with watchkeeping and securing the vessel to wharves
Provide all guests with warm and professional customer service
Desired Qualities & Experience:
1 year as a General Purpose Hand is preferable but not required
Required:
Valid AMSA General Purpose Hand endorsement
Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol Competency Card
Valid First Aid Certificate
