We are seeking for a caring and motivated Hospitality Manager/Cook for residential care services. As a Hospitality Manager/Cook at Serene, you will provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment to meet the nutritional needs of our residents.

Duties

Prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents.

Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents' dietary, individual and cultural needs are met.

Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services.

Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures.

Accept food delivery and record temperature according to food safety standard.

Skills and Experience

Previous experience in the preparation and delivery of meals within a similar environment,

Minimum 1+ years of healthcare/aged care meal preparation experience is required.

Aged care experience is essential.

Minimum 1+ years of aged care experience is required.

Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent is preferred but not essential.

Excellent English communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.

The ability to solve problems independently.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a great team.

Flexibility to work on rotating shifts morning, afternoon Mon-Sun

An understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.

Australian permanent residency or citizenship is required for this position.
