Position Summary

We are currently seeking experienced Jackhammer Operators to join our dynamic crew. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating jackhammers and related equipment to break through concrete, asphalt, rock, and other hard surfaces as part of demolition, excavation, or site preparation works.

Key Responsibilities

Operate handheld or mounted jackhammers to break up concrete and other hard materials

Assist in demolition, excavation, or concrete removal work

Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE at all times

Work alongside other trades and labourers as part of a team

Load and unload tools and materials as required

Maintain equipment and report faults or damage to site supervisor

Perform site clean-up and manual handling duties when needed

Requirements

Proven experience using jackhammers or pneumatic tools in construction or demolition

Strong physical fitness and stamina – the role is physically demanding

White Card (Construction Induction)

Own PPE (steel cap boots, high-vis clothing, gloves, eye/ear protection)

Reliable transport to travel to various sites

Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions

A strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Highly Regarded (but not essential)

Additional tickets (e.g. Working at Heights, Confined Space)

Experience with concrete cutting or demolition saws

Asbestos awareness training

Forklift or EWP licence
