About the role

Barron River Towing is seeking a reliable and experienced Semi Tow Truck Driver to join our team in Cairns, Queensland. As a casual employee, you will be responsible for providing efficient and safe towing services to our customers. This is an essential role that plays a vital part in our operations within the road transport industry.

What you'll be doing

Safely operating a tow truck to transport disabled or impounded vehicles

Assessing vehicle conditions and determining the appropriate towing method

Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with clients

Maintaining the tow truck and equipment in good working condition

Adhering to all relevant road safety regulations and company policies

Collaborating with the dispatch team to ensure timely response to service requests

What we're looking for

Valid and current driver's license, must have a HC License

Minimum 2 years' experience operating a tow truck

Strong knowledge of local roads, traffic regulations, and towing procedures

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure

Physically fit and able to perform the physical demands of the role

Commitment to safety and a demonstrated track record of safe driving
