About Youth Off The Streets
Youth Off The Streets is a not-for-profit youth organisation that provides safety, support and opportunities for young people to build a positive future. We offer crisis accommodation and housing services, alternative high school education, alcohol and other drugs counselling, youth justice support, life skills and employment programs, cultural support and community engagement, among other services. We focus on early interventions that empower young people and strengthen communities.
Not all children and young people thrive in mainstream schools. Our registered and accredited independent high schools offer a flexible alternative for students in Years 9–12.
We operate six independent high schools that are registered and accredited with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA). Youth Off The Streets is also a member of the Association of Independent Schools of NSW (AISNSW).
The Lakes College is an independent school registered with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) and a member of the Association of Independent Schools NSW. We offer a flexible, student-centred curriculum designed to meet academic, psychological, and vocational needs. Our programs support students in completing Year 9 or 10 and achieving their Record of School Achievement (RoSA), while also preparing them for further education or employment. A strong focus on pastoral care, work readiness, sport, and service learning enriches our supportive and inclusive learning environment.
About the role:
We are looking for a motivated, collaborative, and experienced School Administrator to join our dedicated team at our Blue Haven school. This is a part-time position (24 hours per week) on a maximum term contract to cover parental leave through to August 2026.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide efficient and high-quality administrative support to the School Manager.
While this is primarily a school-based administration role, we welcome applicants with strong general administrative experience—even if they haven’t previously worked in a school setting. Please note that this position continues during school holiday periods. While there is some flexibility during these times, we do require team members to be on-site to support ongoing operations and ensure continuity for the school community.
We are open to negotiating days and hours for the right candidate, making this role ideal for someone with school-aged children who wants to be available for school drop-off and pick-up.
If you're passionate about supporting school operations and thrive in a team-focused environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be required to undertake a broad range of administrative tasks including:
supporting the efficient operations of the client/data management system,
updating attendance records,

The essential criteria for this role include, but are not limited to:
Relevant administrative qualification and experience
2 years’ experience in a similar position
Formal training and sound experience in Microsoft Suite and Data Management Systems
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Ability to multi-task and to work autonomously

What we can offer you:
A supportive team environment
Career progression and development pathways
EAP for yourself and your family
