About The Role

Efficient and effective operation with continued maintenance of drip irrigation systems in a citrus production.

Identifying and repairing leaks, maintaining filters, valves and overall system optimization to ensure sustainable water use.

Inspect and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance.

Locate and repair leaks in irrigation lines, valves and accessories.

Clean and replace filters as needed to maintain water quality.

Collaborate with other teams to coordinate maintenance and repair activities.

Conduct pressure and flow test to verify system performance.

Monitor water usage and propose improvements to increase efficiency.

Maintain accurate documentation for maintenance and repair logs.

About the Farms

Our properties are an 8 min drive (9km) North-West of Moree, NSW.

We have 280,000 drip irrigated citrus trees, last year we harvested 5,000 tonnes of barley and 11,000 bales of irrigated cotton.

Our citrus is harvested 9 months of the year for juicing and transported to our other business grovejuice.com.au for supply to four major supermarkets and export markets in South-East Asia.

Grove has been crafting juice for over 50 years. We plant, grow, harvest, select and squeeze every last drop from our orange groves in Moree.

We take an active position in the industry via industry-based associations, not-for-profit work and local sponsorships.

Vitonga Farms has strong water & market stability, our staff have good job security and work life balance and as a result we retain great knowledge as a collective unit.

About You:

Demonstrated ability to use tools and specialised equipment safely and effectively.

Sound understanding of WHS legislation and obligations.

Strong problem-solving skills accompanied with attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability to follow instructions with effective communication skills.

Team player accompanied with the ability to work independently without supervision.

Good physical condition to perform tasks that require frequent bending, lifting, twisting and walking.

Great sense of humor, work ethics and the vision to be a part of our expanding team.
