About the role
Coolamon Early Childhood Centre is a 47 place centre offering care and early education to children aged 0-5 years. The Centre’s operating hours are 7.00am-6.00pm Monday to Friday, and has been renovated and extended to provide open plan indoor learning spaces and a large, spacious outdoor playground.

Coolamon Shire Council is seeking an experienced Early Childhood Centre Manager to lead our vibrant childcare facility in Coolamon, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the centre's operations, from staff management to program development, to ensure the delivery of exceptional early childhood education and care.

What you'll be doing:

Managing the day-to-day operations of the early childhood centre, including staff supervision, budgeting, and regulatory compliance

Overseeing the development and implementation of high-quality educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework

Fostering a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children, families, and staff

Maintaining strong relationships with families and the local community

Ensuring the centre meets all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements

Leading, motivating, and developing a dedicated team of early childhood educators

Continuously improving the centre's policies, procedures, and practices

Provide ongoing support and assistance in all areas of administrative procedures, curriculum development, parent and community liaison, staff professional development and training, and any other areas as the need arises

Any other duties as directed and considered relevant to the role and area of responsibility

What we're looking for:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior early childhood education and care role

ACECQA approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification

Thorough knowledge of the National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements

Thorough knowledge and commitment to providing a child safe environment, including extensive understanding of mandatory reporting requirements

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities

Commitment to continuous improvement and the delivery of quality care

Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check certifications

Class C Drivers Licence
