Early Childhood Teacher

A unique Fulltime Early Childhood Teacher position has become available at Armidale Community Preschool.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, vibrant, dedicated teacher to join our team and become part of our preschool community, who is committed to ensuring every child is valued and supported in their learning journey.

ACPS is a 39-place centre, for children 3-5 years of age, we support 80+ families, and we have been part of the Armidale Community for 60 years.

Our Philosophy supports nature based holistic play, with an emphasis on our environment to encourage exploration, play, curiosity and creativity, where children feel safe, secure, and supported.

Educators with a positive energy, creativity and commitment to inclusion will help each child feel inspired to reach their full potential.

Qualification Criteria:

· Bachelor’s degree in early childhood teaching- Approved and recognised by ACECQA

· Current registration with NSW teaching Authority NESA.

· Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

· Valid First Aid in an education and care setting, including CPR, asthma, anaphylaxis, and defibrillation.

· Three current relevant referees-must be early childhood related.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in an early childhood setting.

Essential Criteria:

· Extensive knowledge of Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.

· Knowledge and understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

· Foster secure, respectful, and reciprocal relationships with children and families.

· Ability to provide an inclusive and stimulating educational program which contributes to learning outcomes and promotes positive behaviour for each child.

· Ability to document the educational program including critical reflection of each child’s learning and developmental needs and interests.

· Maintain compliance with centre policies, regulations, and health and safety standards.

· Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills with children and adults.

· Promote and sustain collaborative work ethic where all educators challenge and support each other and work as a team to develop skills to improve practice, promote relationships within a positive organisational culture.

· Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice to continually enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

· Ability to liaise with children’s community service specialists.

· Experience working with children with additional needs.
