Grassports Australia is a synthetic surface construction and maintenance company. We provide our customers with expert design, project management, and construction of synthetic sports surfaces as well as ongoing maintenance services. We build and maintain a wide variety of facilities from single backyard tennis courts to multi-lane cricket facilities, multi-use school facilities, synthetic grass hockey pitches and international FIFA certified soccer complexes.

We work with each customer (private individuals, schools, clubs, councils and builders etc) to tailor the best solution for them. We focus not only on constructing a quality finished surface that meets our customer’s needs (its performance, playability, and appearance), we also offer services to ensure our customer’s facilities look and perform as best as they can.

About the Role
You will become part of the team responsible for maintaining synthetic facilities for our impressive variety of clients that include some of Melbourne’s most prestigious private schools, high profile private customers and major sporting clubs.

You will be in a customer-facing role, so a professional disposition is required at all times.

Key Responsibilities

· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on synthetic turf surfaces, including brushing, grooming, and infill top-ups

· Operate ride-on and hand-operated grooming equipment, such as power brooms, turf sweepers, and decompaction machines

· Undertake weed control using herbicides and manual methods

· Perform minor seam repairs and other turf repair tasks as required

· General landscaping

· General labouring and site clean-up – occasionally assisting the construction team

· Maintenance reporting

· Follow company procedures and maintenance methods

· Present the company vehicle and machinery in a professional manner

To be considered for the role you must have the following:

· Must be able and willing to travel (regional Victoria work occasionally required)

· Understanding of machine preventative maintenance and synthetic turf care

· Willing to work the occasional Saturday as and when required

· White Card (OH&S induction card)

· Must have or be able to get a Working with Children Card

· Towing experience preferred

· Be able to work autonomously and be a self-starter

· Be highly motivated with a positive attitude towards all tasks

· Be honest, reliable, and consistent

· Be a team player

· An eagerness to learn and develop your skills

· Pride in doing things correctly

· Enjoy working in a high-performance environment

· Good communication skills

· Basic computer skills

· The successful candidates for the positions will have excellent presentation, and communication skills as you will be representing the company whilst communicating with a range of clients.
