Workfast is looking for experienced Civil Labourers to join the team. Working with Sydney Water projects across the Sydney South and Inner West.

These roles are part of ongoing essential water infrastructure works, laying new water mains and supporting upgrades across multiple active sites.

We are looking for reliable and skilled labourers who take pride in their work, understand safety protocols, and thrive in a civil and/or utilities construction environment. This is a great opportunity to join long-term projects with a respected government client and contribute to the delivery of critical infrastructure.

What You Get

• Competitive hourly pay + super, travel and meal allowances
  $43.91 - $45.81 ordinary rate based on qualifications, experience etc.
• Ongoing, long-term work across multiple Sydney sites
• Stable hours with opportunities for overtime
• Work with an industry-leading water utility (Sydney Water)
• Aim for permanent full-time contract after a few months as casual

What You Need

• Valid Confined Space and working at Heights tickets (within 2 yrs)
• White Card and Drivers Licence, own transport.
• Proven experience as a civil / skilled labourer
• Ideally have pipelayer, experience or knowledge
• Experience in utilities and working near services or on water mains
• White Card + Drivers licence + own vehicle
• An understanding of pipe laying techniques, water infrastructure and safety procedures
• Sydney Water experience highly regarded
• Ability to read plans and follow site instructions
• Physical fitness and strong teamwork skills

What You Will Be Doing

• General and skilled labour duties
• Laying and aligning watermains to specification or assisting
• Trenching, bedding, backfilling, and compacting
• Working with PVC, DICL, and other pipe materials
• Following Sydney Water quality and safety standards
• Supporting the crew with general civil labouring as required
• Ensuring safe, accurate, and efficient site work
