Automotive Electrician

Auto Electrician Responsibilities

Use diagnostic tools to identify issues with electrical and electronic systems.

Service and repair electrical systems in earthmoving machinery.

Repair or replace malfunctioning ignition systems and electrical wiring.

Adjust engine control systems and timing settings.

Connect vehicle accessories and equipment to the power source.

Fix and maintain air conditioning systems.

Replace damaged or worn-out parts.

Take apart and remove electrical and electronic assemblies and components.

Install electrical devices and electronic components in vehicles.

Test and replace faulty alternators, generators, voltage regulators, and starter motors.

Skills and Experience Required

Certificate III in Auto Electrical with a minimum of 2 years' experience.

Valid Driver’s License.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose faults in equipment both in the workshop and on-site.

Experience in repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles and machinery, including CAT, Komatsu, Volvo, and more.
