InCanopy is a pioneering urban-forest analytics platform. We monitor every tree in the city each year and deliver data-driven insights to councils, researchers, and communities. Our reports transform complex geospatial and environmental data into actionable knowledge that drives real change in urban planning and sustainability.

The Role
We’re looking for a graphic designer to take our digital reports to the next level. You’ll be responsible for making data-heavy reports visually engaging, professionally polished, and consistent with InCanopy brand — while also streamlining and automating reporting workflows where possible.

This role blends graphic design, data visualisation, and tech-savviness. If you can design clean layouts, wrangle data into beautiful charts and maps, and maybe even code — we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Design professional, brand-consistent digital reports (PDF, web, interactive).

Translate charts, maps, and geospatial datasets into clear, compelling visuals.

Collaborate with our data science team to understand outputs and present them effectively.

(Nice to have) Write automation templates scripts to streamline report production (Python, R, JavaScript).

Skills & Experience

Strong design background (graphic design, editorial design, or visual communications).

Experience with tools like Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Figma, or Affinity Publisher.

(Bonus) Coding skills (Python, JavaScript, R) to automate or enhance reports.
