Location: Brisbane
Employment Type: Part-time, permanent
Hours: 16-24 hours per week (flexible scheduling to suit your needs)

About the Company

Join our supportive and rapidly growing simulation consulting business at an exciting stage of expansion. Since our founding in November 2023, we've grown from 10 to 26 team members across three offices in Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane. We're a collaborative company led by 5 Managing Partners, delivering innovative simulation consulting services to clients across Australia. We're a team who genuinely care about each other and love what we do.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced HR professional to join our team and collaborate with us to shape our people practices as we continue to scale. This is a comprehensive role that spans the full spectrum of HR - from hands-on operational tasks to strategic planning and implementation.

This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing business, with genuine work-life balance, flexibility to work around family commitments, and opportunities for professional growth as our business grows. The role would suit someone looking for progression in their career.

Key Responsibilities

Core HR Operations:

Manage leave requests and maintain accurate leave records

Support staffing decisions and workforce planning

Coordinate and manage feedback and performance review processes

Lead recruitment activities from job posting through to onboarding

Handle employee relations matters and provide conflict resolution support

Develop and manage comprehensive onboarding and offboarding processes

Coordinate learning and development initiatives for team members

Design and implement employee engagement initiatives to strengthen our culture

Strategic HR Development:

Formalise and document HR policies and procedures

Research, select, and implement a new HRIS system

Establish best-practice HR frameworks to support our continued growth

Work closely with our managing partners to align HR strategy with business objectives

Skills and Experience

We're looking for an accomplished HR professional who thrives in growing businesses and enjoys the variety that comes with working across all aspects of people management. You understand that great HR comes from both solid foundations and forward-thinking initiatives.

The ideal candidate will be:

Comfortable moving between high-level planning and practical implementation

Experienced across all stages of the employee journey in growing, fast-moving organizations

Driven by creating positive workplace cultures and supporting employee success

Someone who combines people skills with business acumen and a proactive approach

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in HR, business, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of experience in HR generalist roles

Understanding of Australian employment law and compliance requirements

Interest or experience in HRIS selection and implementation

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to work collaboratively while managing priorities independently

Periodic travel to our Perth and Melbourne offices as needed - we'll work with you to make this manageable

We welcome applications from candidates who may not meet every requirement but are passionate about contributing to our team's success.

What We Offer

Work-life balance with flexible hybrid working arrangements

Supportive, collaborative environment working closely with our Managing Partners

Opportunity to learn, grow, and shape HR practices in a collaborative team culture

Potential for career progression as the company continues to expand

Competitive remuneration package that reflects your value, including a bonus of up to 10%

Investment in your ongoing learning and development

How to Apply

We'd love to hear from you! Please share your resume and a cover letter that tells us about your relevant experience and what excites you about this opportunity.
