Experienced Support Worker (Casual) –

Maitland | Immediate Start

📍 Location: Maitland, Chisholm & Surrounds
💰 Pay Rate: $40 – $60 per hour (role/experience dependent)
📅 Availability Required: Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays as well as weekly or fortnight weekend shifts.

We’re expanding and hiring two streams of Support Workers:

Complex Care Support Worker

Complex Mental Health Support Worker

If you’re reliable, detail-oriented, and experienced in complex care or complex mental health—and you bring strong cooking skills for meal preparation—we’d love to hear from you.

About the Roles

You’ll provide person-centred support that empowers people to live safely and independently at home and in the community. Consistency and professional boundaries are essential.

Role 1: Complex Care – Key Duties

Personal care and hygiene

Bowel care (including enemas)

Hoist transfers and safe mobility support

Seizure monitoring and management

Light domestic tasks and nutritious meal planning & preparation

Role 2: Complex Mental Health – Key Duties

Psychosocial support and skill-building

Structured routines, behavioural support strategies and de-escalation

Community access and social inclusion

Light domestic tasks and meal planning & preparation (healthy, budget-aware)

You’ll Succeed If You Have

Availability for Wednesday, Thursday & Fridays as well as weekly or fortnight weekend shifts.

Non-smoker/non-vaper (required for participant’s medical needs)

Experience with hoists, bowel care, and seizures (Complex Care role)

Experience with complex mental health, boundaries, and de-escalation (CMH role)

Strong cooking skills and confidence with meal prep to dietary needs

Valid Driver Licence

NDIS Worker Screening & WWCC (or willing to obtain)

You’re kind, dependable, and genuinely participant-focused

Desirable: First Aid/CPR, Cert III/IV Individual Support, Medication competency, NDIS Orientation.
