Your next career opportunity
As a Finance Systems Specialist at the University of Melbourne, you'll play a pivotal role in optimising the institution's financial operations through our Workday platform. You'll configure, develop, and maintain core Finance systems, ensuring data accuracy and driving process improvements. This role offers you the opportunity to apply your Workday Finance expertise in a dynamic higher education environment, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance university-wide financial management.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • System Optimisation: Configure and build processes in Workday to ensure optimal financial solutions for the University.

  • Issue Resolution: Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve integration and production issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to financial operations.

  • Stakeholder Support: Educate and train analysts and business stakeholders on system updates and changes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Innovation Leadership: Partner with process leads to identify and deploy the latest Workday capabilities, driving adoption and enhancing financial management practices.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a certified Workday Finance Administrator with strong technical skills and a passion for optimising financial systems, possessing excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.

You may also:

  • Hold relevant Workday Finance certifications with hands-on experience in implementing and optimising Workday Finance solutions.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of software development life cycle activities.

  • Have strong analytical skills and experience in writing and executing requirements, design, development, and testing documents.

  • Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Show a commitment to continuous learning and driving improvement in financial systems and processes.
