Position Summary:

As a Chef at the Grand Terminus Hotel, you’ll be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes that highlight locally sourced ingredients. You’ll work closely with a passionate team to deliver consistent flavour, presentation, and exceptional dining experiences, while maintaining food safety standards and contributing to a vibrant kitchen culture.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaboratively plan and orchestrate the preparation and cooking of food.

• Engage in menu development, manage food and labour cost estimations, and oversee food supply orders

• Uphold the highest standards for all dishes throughout the preparation and presentation stages.

• Demonstrate advanced cooking techniques and provide guidance on culinary procedures.

• Enforce strict hygiene and safety protocols within the kitchen.

• Liaise with management, dietitians, and service staff to discuss culinary processes and improvements.

Essential Requirements:

• Appropriate qualifications such as Diploma or at least 3 years work experience

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Flexibility, leadership, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
