The School of Education invites applications for sessional Lecturer positions in Early Childhood Education to join our innovative Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) (B.Ed (ECE)) program in both of our Sydney and Melbourne campuses.
Successful candidates will deliver high-quality teaching, maintain an active research profile, and contribute to the School’s mission of excellence in early childhood education, aligned with TEQSA and ACECQA standards.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and teach courses in the B.Ed. (ECE) program, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
Administer assessments, providing timely, constructive feedback to students.
Collaborate with the Head of School, subject coordinators, and placement coordinator to support student practicum and coursework.
Develop and sustain an active research program, contributing to the field of early childhood education.
Supervise student research projects, fostering critical inquiry.
Build and maintain community partnerships for NAPS-compliant practicum placements.
Ensure compliance with NAPS procedures, TEQSA requirements, and ACECQA standards.
Engage in marketing activities to promote the program.
Perform ad-hoc duties as directed by NAPS management.
Key Selection Criteria
Undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education and a postgraduate degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related discipline.
Extensive experience in early childhood education across diverse roles.
Experience teaching early childhood education at the higher education level (desirable).
Proven ability to undertake administrative duties with excellent time-management and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer literacy and proficiency in educational technologies.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering partnerships and inclusivity.
