South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, providing Health and Wellbeing and relevant services to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Shoalhaven area.
THE ROLE
This position is responsible for leadership, planning, implementation, coordination and delivery of health promotion and prevention, focusing on school and community-based programs.

Essential Criteria
Minimum bachelor’s degree qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Allied Health, Community Services and related fields or experience in Therapeutic Support.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working with suicide prevention, SEWB and AOD initiatives.
A comprehensive understanding of the social and health issues impacting the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Demonstrated skills and experience in supervising staff, and the ability to effectively coach and manage a team to achieve service outcomes.
Excellent organisational skills, with proven ability to prioritise within a multi-disciplinary team.
Demonstrated computer proficiency, including the use of all Microsoft Office applications, client record and data management systems, social media, and writing reports.
Ability to create and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders.
Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution, mediation and adaptability.
The ability to effectively communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds.
High level of integrity, regard for professional boundaries, and confidentiality.
Desirable Criteria:
Certificate IV or higher-level qualification in Project Management.
Experience with collating information for a funding submission.

Preferred applicants will also be required to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a new paid employee Working with Children Check (as required by the Act) prior to appointment with South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation.
Salary will be in accordance with the South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation Enterprise Agreement.
