Finance Trainee
Level 1 - $45,837.90- $81,117.20 per annum + 12% superannuation + Cert IV Accounting/Bookkeeping
12 month Full-Time, Fixed-Term Contract
Your Traineeship
As a Finance Trainee, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the Town's financial operations. This role offers practical exposure to finance administration, reporting, and reconciliation, while working toward a nationally recognised qualification (Cert IV in Accounting/Bookkeeping).
What You'll Be Doing
As a Finance Trainee, you'll work closely with the Manager Financial Services and the broader Finance team to support day-to-day operations.
You'll be:
- Assisting with finance administration, including data entry and document management
- Supporting monthly financial reporting using complex spreadsheets
- Helping reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Assisting with back-office receipting and maintaining the General Ledger
- Participating in ad-hoc finance projects and audits, including cash float register checks
This position is based on a fixed-term opportunity of 12 months whilst you complete your Cert IV Accounting/Bookkeeping as part of a traineeship. You'll also be working alongside experienced team members every step of the way.

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:
- National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Current 'C' class drivers license
