About the Role
The Library Rover reports to the Manager Library Environment and Experience and plays a crucial role in supporting library spaces and students by providing IT assistance to students and staff in the library and ensuring that the physical library spaces are well-presented. The Rover works closely with cross-functional teams such as Customer Service staff, the IT service desk and the Facilities team to provide a quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities include offering guidance on using library technology and technical support, whilst maintaining physical equipment and orderly library spaces. Strong customer service skills are critical to effectively meeting the diverse needs of library users.
As a contact for technical and other issues, the Rover addresses various questions related to printing, accessing software, study spaces and other user-related queries, ensuring a smooth and efficient library experience.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

• Detailed knowledge of commonly used applications and mobile device operating systems.
• Detailed knowledge of commonly used software and computer operating systems.
• Sound understanding of the importance of ensuring spaces are well-maintained and orderly to deliver a great user experience.
• Sound knowledge of internet tools including Wi-Fi.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and provide customer-focused solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, maintain attention to detail, display sound judgement, and to use initiative.
• Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
• Demonstrated, relevant experience in the provision of high quality administrative and support services within a demanding, customer focused environment.
