At Lutheran Education Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania (LEVNT) we are passionate about providing quality education and care within a Christian environment to children attending our Services throughout our region.

St Paul’s Lutheran Kindergarten is a community-based sessional kindergarten service offering funded programs for children from 3 years to school age. Located in Grovedale, St Paul’s Kindergarten welcomes up to 99 children and their families per day. We also provide a wrap-around After Kinder Care program to support families in accessing their funded kindergarten program.

We are seeking an Early Childhood Teacher on a Fixed Term (12months) Part Time basis (Monday - Thursday 64.5hours per fortnight).

The position is within our funded three-year-old and four-year-old kindergarten programs and does not require work during the school holidays.

The position will commence in Term One, 2026.

The Role

This role requires the successful applicant to work collaboratively with a team of Early Childhood Teachers and Educators to deliver funded kindergarten programs which adhere to the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework and Kindergarten Funding Guide requirements. Our teachers will use the planning cycle to deliver high quality, innovative programs that cater to the developmental needs and interests of the children in their care. The successful applicant will build and maintain positive relationships with children, their families and colleagues to ensure a respectful, safe environment for all people who use and work at our service.

Selection Criteria

Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualifications (see page 46 of the Kindergarten Funding Guide for more information)

Current First Aid Qualifications including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis.

Current child protection training.

Excellent knowledge of National Quality Standards and Early Childhood Regulations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to positively, proactively and regularly engage with staff, children and families.

Demonstrated skills to maintain a positive work culture and participate within successful teams.

Sound computer skills.

Commitment to the Christian ethos of the Lutheran Church.
