About the role
In this role the successful candidate is responsible for providing an advanced level nursing service as an expert in the specialty field and facilitates linkages and relationships with Local Health District nurses/midwives and medical officers to support patient management. Providing assessment, care planning and review of patients in collaboration with the primary service providers to ensure that evidence based practice is utilised. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC2) is responsible for expert clinical organisation, coordination, leadership and consultancy services within the oncology service and target populations within the Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD). The current scope of practice is care coordination of patients receiving concurrent Chemoradiation therapy.
